  15. The answer is both. The software must be able to read the audio data and 
  16. convert it to a usuable form. Also, the CD drive must be CDDA 
  17. compliant. Not all drives have this feature. The CDDA feature allows 
  18. direct streaming of the audio data across the SCSI bus.
